Regan Sapkota is an enthusiast of biodiversity conservation in the changing climate. He is about to complete his MSc in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University with specialization on biodiversity conservation and climate change. He is also a research fellow at ICIMOD.
Mr. Sapkota has ample field based experience and is competent in research design, data collection and analysis, advocacy and campaigning, and project design and management. He is interested to understand the impacts of climate change on biodiversity and aims to bridge the existing gap by providing scientific research based solution so as to increase the effectiveness of conservation practices in changing the climate.
In Greenhood Nepal, he works with local communities for species and their habitat conservation in changing the climate, as well as advocates in different levels. As a researcher, he has tried to explore the impacts of climate change on biodiversity, an altitudinal variation of species, the role of local institutions to adapt/mitigate the impacts of climate change.
